Sometimes I dread the question, “What’s for dinner?” Do you?

Even though I love to cook, sometimes I feel stumped by the question of what to make for dinner. There are a variety of reasons for this. After a busy day, I may lack the time and energy to prepare the recipe I’d planned to make. If I haven’t been to the store in a while, I may feel as helpless as Mother Hubbard with nearly bare cupboards. Or maybe I’m feeling uninspired and can’t come up with an idea of what to make.

Does this also happen to you?

Whether or not I’m at a loss for what to make for dinner, I often decide to make some soup. It never disappoints.

Soup for dinner? Absolutely

Most of us usually think of dinner as a meal served with a knife and fork, or maybe chopsticks. But sometimes, the perfect entrée can be slurped right from a spoon. Soup is most often eaten for lunch or as a first course, but it can be the star of the main meal, too.

Soup is a superb choice, no matter the weather
